This site is primarly dedicated to Linux (and to a lesser extent FreeBSD) users. It's goal is to provide information, tips, tricks , howto's, . . .
about these operating systems.
You can find some articles I wrote in the
HOWTO Section.
I hope many will follow, and that you somehow find them usefull.
You may also find something of interest in the Software Archive, which is accessible by
HTTP. Note however that this server has to cope with limited
bandwith (768 Kbps upstream) and traffic volume.
This site is also the home of Acpitool, a Linux commandline ACPI client I developped. All you need to know
about this project can be found here
Furthermore, I devoted a few pages to my hardware collection, describing
all my computers and peripherals in detail.
Finally, you can search this site, or perhaps drop me a line
to comment on the site.
Enjoy your visit.

the information found in the /sys filesystem, for those files that are moved in there from /proc/acpi.

25 Dec 2007 : OS upgrade
The machine was down today for an upgrade from Slackware 11 to Slackware 12. Given the significant number of changes between
Slack 11 and 12, I expected some problems, but the entire upgrade process actually went quite smoothly.
Anyway, we are back in business.
